HON. ARTHUR NAKAZATO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000)
This scholarship was created in honor of OCAABA's Founding President, Hon. Arthur Nakazato (ret.), who passed away in December 2017 and recognizes outstanding law students who have the potential to be future leaders in the legal profession in the Orange County community.

OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD ($2,000)
We are pleased to announce that we will once again offer an Outstanding Student Award to recognize local law students who have made significant contributions to the local Orange County legal and general community.

2022 HON. ARTHUR NAKAZATO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT:
Sandra Aguilar
Sandra is an incoming 2L at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. As an immigrant from the Philippines, she is a strong advocate for expanding diversity in the legal profession. Her involvement in various diverse bar organizations such as the Orange County Asian American Bar Association, Philippine American Bar Association, and Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Association allows her to bridge Chapman Law students with Asian American lawyers in Southern California. As a first-generation college and law student, she has been a participant of the OCAABA’s Mentorship Program and is also passionate about mentoring incoming and current law students. She hopes to continue her mentorship as the incoming President of the Chapman Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. In her spare time, Sandra loves watching pro-wrestling and going to museums for impressionist artworks. She is also in a quest to discover the best boba spot in Orange County.
