Law Students

Mentorship Program

Each school year, OCAABA’s Pipeline Committee offers a formal Mentorship Program for OCAABA’s law student members. Student participants accepted into the Program will be matched up with an experienced OCAABA attorney or judicial member who will provide them with general guidance on the legal profession, including tips on developing lawyering skills and choosing a career. The Pipeline Committee will assist in helping mentors and mentees get to know each other better by providing both formal opportunities for mentors and mentees to socialize and network, as well as informal suggestions for engaging in meaningful dialogues and discussions.

In order to participate in the Mentorship Program, mentors and mentees must (1) be current OCAABA members during the 2026-2027 calendar years, (2) commit to attending at least one OCAABA event during the program year, and (3) meet or call at least once per academic semester to further develop the mentoring relationship.

Applications are now being accepted for 2026-2027 Mentorship Program. The deadline to apply is October 2, 2026, but please note space is limited, so priority will be given to those who apply earlier during the application period.
